I am Raquel, a Latina entrepreneur and the proud owner of this unique artisanal boutique
We specialize in bringing you exceptional Colombian bathing suits and accessories, meticulously handcrafted with utmost care and attention to detail.
My personal journey is intertwined with the story of Ojalá Boutique. When my family immigrated to this country in 2001, we faced the challenge of assimilating quickly. In the process, I felt like I had to trade in aspects of my culture to make room for my American identity. However, I now realize that reclaiming my roots is essential and empowering. Ojalá Boutique is my way of embracing and sharing what is rightfully mine with all of you.
Swimwear
We work with a small batch manufacturer in Colombia who specializes in sustainable fabrics, as part of our continued efforts of being more environmentally responsible. We use zero-waste methods and shopping with us means donating to the coral reef.
Mochilas
Our Wayuu Mochilas aim to celebrate the culture that is imbedded in each thread of our bags. Described as the people of the sea, wind, and soil, the Wayúu use traditional weaving methods passed down through generations to share lessons from their ancestors.
Accesories
We handpicked accessories that shows the intricacies that artisanal communities of Colombia put into every piece. Many feature indigenous materials such as chaquira beads and metals and are often thought to give a particular adundant or healing energy to the people who wear them.
